A Fabulous and Fun Start to a New School Year!

We are enthusiastic to announce that Ms. Durant's 2012-2013 kindergarten class is off to a fabulous start! We began the day by learning about our feelings on this BIG day in our lives. We read "The Kissing Hand" by Audrey Penn and even made 'kissing hands' for our families to keep at home when they miss us while we're at school. After lunch we explored math manipulatives (the "tools" we will use this year as we dive into math). Then, the highlight of the afternoon was meeting "JiJi" the penguin in the computer lab! We played math games and met Mrs. Robeson (our math coach). Ms. Durant is already VERY proud of us and has told us that she is SURE this year will be full of success, fun, and new friends.
